Craft Curiosities' Specialty
Craft Curiosities’ signature piece is the original ‘family’ yarmulke for proud parents and grandparents. The family yarmulke displays paintings of grandchildren or children playing their favorite games in each section of the kippah. Completing the family yarmulke is a phrase that pulls it all together, like "Papa's Pride and Joy" or “Arnie’s Angels,” which my father wears with pleasure (at least when he is around me). All items can be personalized in English or Hebrew, as long as the exact spelling is provided. Each yarmulke is hand-painted in a three-step process: creating the design, painting, and then embellishing the final product. They are made of suede and come in many different colors. Each design is original and special all on its own. Order our personalized yarmulkes as gifts and keepsakes to commemorate a special date or event. Only a small sample of my designs are featured on this site, and custom designs are available, so please ask if you don’t see what you are looking for. Bris and baby naming yarmulkes are smaller in size and come with strings attached to tie under the baby’s chin. Call the day the baby is born and you will receive your personalized kippah within the week. If your child’s bar or bat mitzvah has a special theme, I will work with you to create a unique theme-matching design for the kippot that your family and guests will wear on the big day and cherish for years to come.
